I have vmware vsphere web client 6.5 with a host 6.5. I am not able to upload files to the datastore. I used different browser and not getting anywhere.. Greatly appropriate any help as I am new to Vmware.

If you have legacy VMware ESXi hosts such as VMware ESXi 6.0 hosts that are managed by a VMware vSphere vCenter 6.5 server, you can still connect directly to those hosts with the Windows vSphere Client if you want and manage datastore files. When browsing the datastore that contains all of our ISO files, some I am able to download and others I am not. For the ones that I am not able to, I get the error: "Expected put message. Got:ERROR" An ISO file is created in the desired download location, but of course it is 0 bytes. I have also tried to download the same file using WinSCP. vSphere web client 6.5 shows only .vmdk file and not flat vmdk. When I try to download .vmdk it downloads only .vmdk file which is 1KB. I had to go to vSphere login page, use web based data browser for administrator and browse to the datastore which displayed both .vmdk and flat vmdk and download both the files..
